The simple process of checking and recording your blood pressure at least twice a month over a period of four months has been shown to lower blood pressure in some people with hypertension. Let the YMCA help you get on a routine to lower your blood pressure. Our program offers a FREE blood pressure monitor and cuff. You will meet with one of our trained Healthy Heart ambassadors that will give you the tools and info you need to help you on your journey with high blood pressure. Blood Pressure self monitoring is an evidence based program that features personalized support for developing a blood pressure self- monitoring routine, tips for maintaining cardiovascular health and nutrition education.
