The Director’s Big Band was first formed on March 18, 2006. The band features many players, music teachers, band directors and private instructors. Today, the Director’s Big Band not only plays the big band standards, they also play rhythm and blues, funk, rock, old time rock and roll, and music of what today’s big bands are playing. Above all, the Director’s Big Band strives to keep the big band music classics alive through performance and educating our youth and adults to the importance of never forgetting the American Big Band Classics.
