Dear 107.5 Alive staff & listeners,
As an intern I was to be a blessing to you, but in so many ways y’all were a blessing to me. In the 14 weeks I’ve been an intern at 107.5 Alive and sister station WDAC, y’all became family. A big thank you to the staff for taking me under your wings and showing me the ropes of your individual jobs. Now I have a much better idea of how communication and media works in day to day operations. This internship had great hands on work.
I know hands down the highlights of my summer: Robin Mark concert and Happy 2 Be Home 5K! Both were first time experiences for me. Meeting listeners is the capstone to the work we do at the station. Connecting with you is our biggest blessing, so always come out to events! Your support keeps us going. I can’t speak for other stations, but I think we have the best listeners! I was just the intern, and yet I’d get calls and facebook messages of encouragement. Saturdays were extra special. I’d get on at 9am and people would be calling in, that early in the morning, to win prizes. It was crazy (in a very awesome way)!
Now I’m headed off to finish my last year of Communications at Lancaster Bible College. My last day was so special, just the out pouring of love I received, y’all make it hard to leave. Leaving is always bitter sweet, but I know God’s got big things in store for all of us, for me college, if we just remain faithful in trusting Him.
God bless & keep you till we meet again,
