Positively Different Podcast with John Yoast and Worldlink

Children’s Homes ~  Donate Here

Throughout India, Worldlink Indigenous Missionary Partners run five Children’s Homes bringing in children from their own regions who are abandoned, abused, and without the chance to go to school or even have basic needs met. The children are shown genuine love as the Partners bring them into their own families and reach them with the love of Christ and offer them a chance at a better life.

Why India?

It’s difficult to estimate the number of orphans and abandoned children in India. In fact, UNICEF says the data is unavailable to curate these numbers – but estimated statistics are around 30 million children. Our experience tells us though, that government statistics are notoriously LOW due to the desire to not be seen as a poor/under-developed country and come across in a bad light.

In order to better understand what 30 million children looks like, consider that according to the National Center for Education Statistics, there are 35.6 million children in US Public Schools (up to 8th grade).

India has about 1.3 billion people and has the third highest number of billionaires in the world, after the United States and China. Yet two-thirds of people in India live in poverty. Seventy percent of the Indian population lives on less than $2 a day.

When considering these statistics and knowing that several Worldlink Indigenous Missionary Partners had a desire to take in orphaned, abondoned, and abused children (in addition to their evangelistic ministries), the question wasn’t “Why India?” but “Why Not India?”

Beyond the statistics, Worldlink is passionate about helping the orphaned,
abandoned, and abused children of India because of the stories of young lives
that are horribly at risk and yet are being saved and changed by the love of God.

Carson Wentz’s AO1 Charity Softball Game making a Positive Difference in our Community and Beyond!

Philadelphia, Pa.@Citizen Ball Park on June,1st 2018

Carson Wentz’s AO1 Charity Softball Game is making a Positive Difference in our Community and Beyond!

Over 25,000 fans packed into Citizen’s Bank Park for the Inaugural Carson Wentz’s  AO1 Foundation Charity Softball Game, which raised more than $850,000!

“As I reflect on the foundation’s first year, I’m amazed by the support from people all over the world,” said Carson Wentz, starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles and foundation founder. “I wasn’t sure what to expect when we began this journey and I had the idea of the charity softball game, but it has been nothing short of incredible to see how God has used us to spread his love!”

The funds raised on Friday night will help advance the foundation’s mission to uplift individuals and communities around the world, by demonstrating God’s love for His people.

Fans were treated to a home run derby before the game. Tight end Zach Ertz, left guard Stefen Wisniewski, and kicker Jake Elliott were the three finalists.

Wisniewski took home the derby title and trophy with three unbelievable long shots into the left-field bleachers in the final round!

Following the derby, team captains Carson Wentz  & Jordan Hicks took turns picking the teams, saving Nick Foles, the Super Bowl MVP for last. The crowd kept chanting “MVP…MVP…MVP” every time Foles went to the plate.

Wentz: Ertz (1), Corey Clement (3), Jason Kelce (5), Fletcher Cox (7), Bryce Treggs (9), Jalen Mills (11), Wisniewski (13), Rodgers (15), Mike Wallace (17), Nate Sudfeld (19), Dallas Goedert (21)

Hicks: Elliott (2), Rodney McLeod (4), Mack Hollins (6), Derek Barnett (8), Brandon Brooks (10), Rasul Douglas (12), Wendell Smallwood (14), Ronald Darby (16), Halapoulivaati Vaitai (18), Nelson Agholor (20), Nick Foles (22)

Team Wentz came back from behind and scored Big in a 23-12 win over Team Hicks.

Wentz announced the arrival of the “Thy Kingdom Crumb” Food Truck that his AO1 Foundation and Connect Church in Cherry Hill, N.J., have partnered to give out free food to people in need.

“This is a project that we are excited to release and unveil,” Wentz said during a press conference before his charity softball game on Friday. “It’s something that we are really hoping to just change lives in this community and get people plugged into their faith and hopefully come to know Jesus Christ through it as well.” Wentz continued saying “It’s such a cool idea to be able to give out free food and go into these communities and surprise people, show them God’s love in a tangible way like that.”

Carson also stated that he is looking for support from local grocery stores, food distributors and restaurants. Carson’s goal here is to have the truck go into communities once a week. If you’d like more information about “Thy Kingdom Crumb?” Click Here.

Now if that wasn’t enough, Carson Wentz also gave a check of $520,000 to help fund a sports complex in Haiti. The AO1 Foundation is only 1 year old and is already making a Positive Difference locally and globally! See for yourself right HERE.

“I’m grateful for my teammates, volunteers and guests at tonight’s game for the encouragement and support they’ve given me and the foundation,” said Wentz. “By coming together, we all have the opportunity to leave a positive, lasting mark on people and communities in Philadelphia and around the world.”
